Materials:

Yarn: Worsted Weight Yarn

Hook: US size I (5.5 mm)

Notions: Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

Sl st – Slip Stitch

Ch – Chain

Sc – Single Crochet

Hdc -Half Double Crochet

Dc – Double Crochet

Bpdc – Back Post Double Crochet

Fpdc – Front Post Double Crochet

Puff Stitch – Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, and pull through all 5 loops.  (.75 inch height)

Ch 66 [72, 78]

Rnd 1: Join with a sl st in the beginning chain; ch 2, hdc into each chain; join with a sl st in the beginning ch 2.

Rnd 2: Ch 2, fphdc around the next stitch, puff stitch into the next stitch, *fphdc around the next 4 stitches, puff stitch into the next stitch; repeat from * to the end; join with a sl st in the ch 2.

Rnd 3: Ch 2, fphdc around the next fphdc, skip the puff stitch, fphdc around the next 2 fphdc, puff stitch into the space before the next stitch, *fphdc around the next 2 fphdc, skip the puff stitch, fphdc around the next 2 fphdc, puff stitch into the space before the next stitch; repeat from * to the end; join with a sl st in the ch 2.
